Today I have a very old reciepe for you. Even my grandmother knew it already. It is super easy to make and very delicious. In Germany we call is ” Apfelkuchen ” and it means applepie .
Ingredients:
– 205 g margarine
– 350 g flour
– 8 tablespoons sugar
– 1 Pck . Vanillinsugar
– 1 pinch . Baking powder
– 60 ml of water
– 2 tsp cinnamon
– 750 g apples
– 2 tablespoons applesauce
– Fat, for the mold
– Flour, for the mold
Preparation for my applepie (Apfelkuchen):
Cut 125 g margarine into small pieces . Mix 200 g of flour with 2 tablespoons sugar , vanilla sugar and baking powder. Add Margarine , 60 ml of water and the flour mixture and knead smooth. Put the dough in the fridge about 1 hour. For the Streusel: Mix 150 g flour , 6 tablespoons sugar , cinnamon and 80 g margarine. Refrigerate the dough. Cut Apples into quarters , remove seeds , peel and cut into thin slices. Give the dough in a greased, floured cakeform, preferably with lift-off floor, Make sure that you make a cakeborder around the form. Arrange the apples on the dough base, and cover them with the applesauce. Sprinkle Cinnamon Streusel on it. Bake in preheated oven on the lower rail bake about 40 minutes at 200 ° C.
